First held in February 1999, Symposium has grown into a treasured University of Maine Farmington tradition. Each spring, the university community takes a day off from classes and normal routines to share in the exciting work of students.
Symposium is organized by the University Culture Committee.
Twenty-Sixth Annual University of Maine Farmington Symposium
April 17, 2024
This year’s Symposium will occur on Wednesday, April 17. Symposium Day celebrates academic and artistic achievement and excellence by giving students a chance to highlight their best work. Students may pursue independent research projects, share creative work, or be assigned a project as part of a course. All daytime classes are canceled on Symposium Day with the exception of afternoon once-a-week courses, which may be scheduled at the discretion of the instructor. Navigate the pages of the Symposium website for more information and access to the programs from this year’s event and all previous UMF symposia.
