The University of Maine at Farmington strives to deliver successful and effective financial aid programs for all students. Full-time undergraduate students who applied for financial aid in the academic year 2023-24 received average aid of $14,569 not including private loans or Parent PLUS loans.
The UMF Financial Aid staff is eager to help students and families navigate the sometimes confusing world of college financing. In addition, the University of Maine at Farmington has a number of innovative cost-saving options that allow you and your family to make sound financial decisions — interest-free payment plans, budget-conscious meal plans, and course offerings enabling you to earn your degree in just four years are just a few of the options available to help make your college experience more affordable.
UMF also offers opportunities, like allowing credits for prior learning and summer enrollment incentives, which help you to earn a degree even more quickly. The mission of the UMF Financial Aid Office is an outgrowth of the campus mission as Maine’s public liberal arts college. Our purpose is to support student access and persistence to graduation through the delivery of an array of services and support that primarily encompasses grants, scholarships, on-campus student employment and payroll, and assorted loan programs.
We strive to honor the vision of UMF and to uphold the values of our campus mission through financial aid services marked by excellence.
