Victoria graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in English Writing. After years of outdoor and local newspaper adventures out west, she earned her master’s degree in Magazine Journalism from Columbia University. She has worked as a national affairs correspondent for Newsweek, a senior editor at Working Mother, and is a longtime contributor to national media outlets. For the past several years, she has specialized in strategic marketing and thought leadership for start-ups and Fortune 100 companies.

These days, Victoria lives with the younger of her two sons, an alpine racer at Carrabassett Valley Academy, in a charming but drafty log cabin in Wyman. She loves cooking (and eating) with friends and family, making and fixing things, and going places—especially outdoors.

An award-winning advertising copywriter, Tom Donaghue has worked for agencies and media organizations across the Northeast, At University of Maine at Farmington he oversees a portfolio of University work, applying his nearly 40 years of real-world experience to UMF’s marketing efforts: web, video, paid advertising, and more.

Over the years, Tom developed skill sets in the web and digital arena — collaborating in the mid-90’s with UMF colleague Al Bersbach to build and launch the UMaine System’s very first website, UMF Online, and has overseen the creation, strategy and launch of each subsequent version of UMF’s public website.

Tom earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Bridgewater State University and also attended Stonehill College and Rhode Island School of Design. To keep current in the field, he continues to work as an advertising freelancer, working with ad agencies on a variety of non-higher education accounts.

April has worked in advancement and communications at UMF for nearly 20 years. She currently directs media relations and event communications. Her focus is to develop and share stories with the general public that exemplify the university’s vibrant academic programs and student and faculty success. She earned her BA at the State University of New York at Oswego. She loves spending time with friends and family, including two very spoiled shelties and her rescue bunny.

Dylan Eustis grew up just down the road from Farmington, in Wilton, and graduated from Mt. Blue High School in 2010. He earned his degree in sports management from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Ariz., before moving back to Maine. He has used social media in various volunteer and work settings ever since and loves how far and wide social media content can travel to connect people and ideas. When he’s not at UMF, Dylan enjoys spending time with family and friends, sports, summer weather, cooking, graphic designing, and dogs of all kinds.
