We are especially interested in news that enlightens general audiences about the important work UMF is doing in teacher preparation and the arts and sciences to prepare today’s students for today’s careers and as tomorrow’s leaders. News about interdisciplinary cooperation, faculty and student collaboration, and examples of academic and creative quality that are especially newsworthy include:
- Major awards, publications and accomplishments by students, faculty, or staff
- Noteworthy collaborations between students and faculty
- New practices, programs or innovative approaches to traditional subjects and disciplines
- Campus events and speakers whose presentations are open to the public
