Employers and recruiters are invited to recruit UMF students and graduates on-campus.

On-campus recruiting is a key way for students and alumni to discover career opportunities, understand employer expectations, and explore various industries. UMF Career Services offers several organized recruiting opportunities:

  1. Career and Employment Fairs:
    Each fall, UMF hosts a Student Employment Fair to highlight local job opportunities that accommodate full-time students. Annually, we also organize an Outdoor Rec Hiring Event, the Maine Summer Camp Hiring Event, and an Education Career Fair.   2. Employer of the Day:
    Employers can recruit by tabling in our student center year-round, meeting a diverse student audience.
  3. UMF Job Board:
    Submit job postings to our online UMF Job Board, which highlights part- and full-time positions suitable for current students and graduates. Visit UMF CareerLink to post jobs or contact us at umfcareers@maine.edu or 207-778-7034.
  4. Career and Networking Events:
    UMF Career Services and Alumni Relations host several career events each year. These events, like the annual “College to Career” networking event, allow students to connect with alumni and employers, often leading to job opportunities.

Custom On-Campus Recruiting:
UMF works with employers to arrange tailored recruiting sessions. Employers can also collaborate with UMF’s Experiential Education Office to develop internships in areas like research, volunteerism, and leadership training.
