How to Transfer to UMF
At the University of Maine at Farmington, you're considered a Transfer Student if you have ever enrolled in a degree program at another college or if you have accumulated 12 college credits or more as a non-degree student.

The minimum cumulative GPA for transfer into most academic programs at UMF is 2.0, except for all Education programs and Rehabilitation Services, which require a cumulative GPA of 2.5.

Please note: Some of our majors are in such high demand that openings in those programs fill very quickly (Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Creative Writing, for example). For this reason and more, we strongly encourage you to Apply to UMF as early as possible.

Step 1. Apply
You can apply to the University of Maine at Farmington several ways:

Step 2. Have Your Transcripts Mailed to Us
We need your official college transcripts and high school transcripts mailed directly from the institutions to:
