Intro to Canoeing

Three separate canoe trips to local lakes for anyone interested in a fun paddle and some informal instruction on the fundamentals of paddling. FRC Director Jim Toner will offer instruction on basic paddling strokes such as the forward paddle, J-stroke, draw, sweep and pry. If you have never paddled before and/or want to practice maneuvering a boat this is a perfect opportunity. Canoes, paddles & PFD's provided. Space is limited to 12. Meet @ UMF Fitness and Recreation Center. Open to the public.
