The event will to give you and your family a first glimpse of what Farmington has to offer and provide you with info on: the college selection process, what to expect in college, tips for interviewing and advice on writing the application essay. A personalized campus tour with one of our student guides and lunch is included.

8:30am - 2:00pm

Start 8:30am: Register and chat with our Admission staff and some UMF students.

Then The rest of the day includes opportunities for you and your family to:

  • Discover the differences between high school and college academics.
  • Get useful advice on how to organize your college search process.
  • Learn how choosing certain classes in high school can actually help you get into the right college.
  • Find out what colleges are really looking for in prospective students.
  • Get the inside scoop from UMF students on what college life is all about.
  • Discuss college athletics and how it complements academics.
  • Get the opportunity to ask lots of questions.
  • Learn about credit evaluation and the transfer process (transfer students only).
