In fact, a recent survey of 2010 the University of Maine at Farmington graduates found that 91% of those who responded are either employed or attending graduate school / professional school.* And UMF grads tend to live — and work — in Maine, helping the state to grow and prosper.

Our Education graduates work in schools in every county in Maine. In fact, the University of Maine at Farmington is one of the state’s biggest producers of teachers — 17% of all teachers in Maine earned their bachelor’s degree at UMF and three of the past four Maine "Teacher of the Year" recipients have been UMF Education graduates.

Our on-campus Center for Human Development will assist you along your career path every step of the way, helping you identify career and academic interests; educating you about career, internship, and graduate school options; coaching you through the process of applying for jobs, internships, and graduate school programs, and more.

The UMF Center for Human Development holds workshops on writing effective resumes, applying to graduate school, and searching for employment and internships. It also hosts on-campus job fairs and individual recruitment events.

* In 2011, the University of Maine at Farmington attempted to contact the 328 students who graduated from UMF in May of 2010 to find what they have done since graduating from UMF. The University received 224 responses (68%) from the graduating class.
